Shadi Bartsch-Zimmer, Director of the Stevanovich Institute on the Formation of Knowledge and Helen A. Regenstein Distinguished Service Professor of Classics at the University of Chicago, will deliver four lectures on the topic, "Revolutionary Rereading: The Ancient Greeks in Modern China" at Oberlin College & Conservatory as part of the Charles Beebe Martin Lectures in Classics. The Martin Lectures at Oberlin have been presented since 1929, and are among the most prestigious lecture series in Classics in the country.
Bartsch-Zimmer's lectures include:

- Tuesday, Oct. 9: Plato’s Republic in the PRC
- Thursday, Oct. 11: The Politics of Rationality
- Friday, Oct. 12: Socrates, Confucius, and Chinese Nationalism
