Adam F. Kola, Assistant Professor at The Laboratory for the Study of Collective Memory in Post-communist Europe and Deputy Dean for Organization and Development in the Faculty of Languages at Nicolaus Copernicus University (Poland), has received a grant from the Polish National Science Center in the amount of $10,000. The grant will cover summer archival research in the National Library of Medicine in Bethesda, MD, to extend Kola's research on informal aspects of knowledge production and transfer (in the case of Polish-American virologist and oncologist, Ludwik Gross). Kola, a Visiting Scholar to The Stevanovich Institute throughout the 2017-18 academic year, returns to the University of Chicago from January 27, 2018 through February 10, 2018.
