As Program Manager for Academic Innovation Eduardo A. Escobar is responsible for coordinating SIFK’s new initiatives in academic innovation at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including the Experimental Capstone (XCAP) and the forthcoming formation of knowledge track within the Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences (MAPSS). Eduardo is a historian and Assyriologist whose research focuses on cuneiform scholarly cultures of the ancient Middle East, as well as a former SIFK Postdoctoral Fellow.  At SIFK, he taught courses on Babylonian knowledge, historiography, and on scientific knowledge in the premodern world. Eduardo earned a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in Near Eastern Studies and Science and Technology Studies (STS), and holds degrees from Columbia University, and The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
